Overview

Calibe Thompson, was asked to give a presentation at the 6th Biennial Jamaican Diaspora Conference in June 2016. The subject was “Engaging 2nd, 3rd and 4th Generation Diaspora Members”. So she went to them and asked them about their thoughts and habits. This is the presentation that came out of her informal study.

Calibe Thompson is Executive Producer of “Taste the Islands”, “The Caribbean Diaspora Weekly” and “Island Origins”. She is a producer, director, editor and personality. She writes a weekly opinion column on the Caribbean and its Diaspora for the South Florida Times magazine, and is a regular contributor to Caribcast TV and Jamaicans.com. Catch her on camera hosting the series “The Caribbean Diaspora Weekly” on Caribvision and One Caribbean TV throughout the Caribbean and major diaspora regions.
